MAN Plauen
A delivery center with a customer lounge was added to the existing main building of MAN Truck & Bus AG in Plauen. Using an organic design language, flowing, representative rooms were designed that serve to welcome customers and lead to the newly designed delivery hall.
Two of the existing four delivery areas were closed down to accommodate the customer lounge on the ground floor.
In order to make the most complex possible use of the available space, a gallery level was added to the rear of the newly created reception area. The lower level contains the technical and sanitary rooms as well as a master's office. A consultation room with an adjacent sample room was created on the gallery level.
The installation of the new reception area was accompanied by renovation work in the façade area. The strongly structured glass façade with various projections and recesses and functionally questionable vestibule constructions was dismantled and replaced by a new, straight-lined post-and-beam façade.
